Laura Robinson is a current law student turned entrepreneur from the University of Canterbury. She has been one of the directors of a Non-Governmental Organisation called Hope Line, which is based in Uganda, for the past four years. It has been through her regular trips back and forth that Laura began developing a new model for international volunteering. She was troubled by the way current volunteering was occurring; where international communities and projects were being exploited rather than impacted.
Laura Robinson officially established Purpose Projects, a new international volunteering organisation at the beginning of 2018. The organisation is taking its first two trips over at the end of this year, to complete a school.
She is committed to elevating international communities out of poverty and to become self-sustaining one village at a time.
