The AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards serve as a global platform to celebrate and honour excellence in the business education community. The awards recognize exceptional contributions made by business schools, students, graduates, suppliers, and employers who share the values of ambition, impact, and integrity upheld by AMBA & BGA.
Puneet Saini's remarkable entry into the competition captivated the judges, propelling him to the next round of evaluation. His submission will now be reviewed by an external panel of expert judges, who will determine the ultimate winner in the Start-Up of the Year category.
ScriptSense, the brainchild of Puneet Saini and fellow UC MBA student Kieran Erasmuson, represents a groundbreaking solution poised to revolutionize New Zealand's pharmacy workflow. With more than 2,000 annual fatalities attributed to medicine-related errors, it is clear that the existing pharmacy workforce faces significant challenges in meeting the demands of the healthcare system. ScriptSense leverages cutting-edge technologies, including cloud computing, process automation, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence, to address these challenges head-on.
This innovative product aims to reduce errors, eliminate data silos, and enhance productivity within the healthcare sector. By providing pharmacists with advanced tools for data-informed decision-making and clinical insights, ScriptSense ensures a safer and more efficient healthcare experience, ultimately mitigating prescribing errors and positively impacting patient outcomes.
Puneet Saini and Kieran Erasmuson, both UC MBA students, conceived the idea for ScriptSense during their participation in the UC MBA's Innovation by Design course, taught by Christian Walsh. They further developed their concept by integrating insights gained from other subjects within the UC MBA curriculum and secured funding earlier this year.
The winners of the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards will be celebrated during a prestigious event scheduled for January 19th, 2024, in London, UK. This occasion promises to bring together leading figures from the global business education community, marking an exceptional milestone in recognizing and celebrating excellence.
