Business and economics at UC first equal in New Zealand according to recent university rankings.

UC Business School | Te Kura Umanga has placed first-equal in New Zealand for Business and Economics according to recently released world university rankings.

The Times Higher Education (THE) 2019 World University Rankings place UC in the Top 175 universities globally for its business and economics subjects—putting the university on par for the top spot in New Zealand alongside the University of Auckland.

Within the field of business and economics, the University of Canterbury is in the Top 25 of universities worldwide for research influence. It is also in the Top 100 for international outlook—a measure of UC’s business faculty to attract students, staff and research projects from around the world.

Overall, UC was placed among the Top 350 institutions, climbing 50 places on 2018 results, with rankings in the Top 250 for Social Sciences and Top 300 for Education.

Taking into consideration 13 key performance indicators across teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook, THE is the leading provider of global higher education data for research-led institutions.
