Why choose the UC MBA?

Flexible to your needs
We understand that the decision to complete an MBA comes at a different time for everybody. That’s why we’ve created a flexible programme that fits around your life and work commitments, so that whatever your situation, you have the best chance at achieving this significant milestone.

Connect from anywhere
The blended learning model lets you choose the way you access your course content. Weekday classes are delivered on-campus or online in realtime from 5pm to 8pm.

For most courses, you will also be here on campus for one intensive two-day workshop, which runs on Friday and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Therefore, it is possible to complete much of your MBA by distance, you will just need to arrange attendance to course intensive workshops and presentations. Please contact us to discuss what is possible for you, we will be happy to work out a solution!

Connect with others
With a focus on networking and career development, the UC MBA ensures that you have maximum exposure to other MBA students, both during and after your degree.

Connected to industry
The UC MBA connects strongly to industry through its co-teaching model, with academics and industry together ensuring learning is relevant and topical for each course. Read about our industry connections

Triple Crown Accreditation
The UC MBA is accredited by AMBA which is the global standard for MBAs. Only the top two per cent of business schools internationally offer AMBA accredited programmes. Te Kura Umanga | UC Business School is also accredited by AACSB and EQUIS, only one percent of business schools in the world have attained all three.

No degree? No problem
The UC MBA programme offers a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDipBA) pathway for aspiring and accomplished business leaders with 5+ years of experience, who are ready to take the next step in their career journey.

You will complete the core eight courses (120 points), from “core” to “ignite”. If you maintain a B average across these courses, you can transfer to the MBA programme to finish the final “master” courses. Alternatively, you can graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration.
