A/AS levels:
(i) minimum of 120 points on the NZ Tariff and
(ii) a minimum grade of D or better in each of at least three subjects equivalent to those on the approved list (excluding Thinking Skills) and
(iii) minimum grade of E in any one of AS English Language, AS Literature in English or AS Language and Literature in English and
(iv) minimum grade of D in IGCSE Mathematics or D grade in GCSE Mathematics or any grade in AS Mathematics

GCE ‘A’ levels At least three ‘A’ levels, with at least one at grade C or above (not including General Studies) 3 years
International Baccalaureate Awarded International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 24 points. 3 years
National High School Graduation Examination (Kỳ Thi Tốt Nghiệp Trung Học Phổ Thông Quốc Gia) An overall pass and a minimum GPA of 8.0/10 in grade 12 3 years 
NCEA Maximum of 20 points over five academic subjects (calculated on the basis that A1 = 1 point, A2 = 2 points, B3 = 3 points, etc.)

Students who have achieved a grade of 4B or better in O-level English (SPM1119) are exempt from taking one of the standard English language tests as proof of their compentence in English

IELTS
Academic with an average score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
TOEFL IBT Total minimum score of 80, with at least 19 in reading, writing, and listening.
TOEFL PBT With a minimum score of 550 and TWE with a minimum score of 4.5.
CCEL EAP 2 Minimum grade of C+
CAE/CPE Minimum overall score of 169, with at least 162 in reading, writing, listening, and speaking
Pearson Test of English (Academic) PTE with overall score of 50 and no PTE communicative skills score below 42
NZCEL Academic Endorsement - Level 4
FluentIQ Overall mark of 8/10 with nothing less than a 7 being scored in a single category
LanguageCert B2 Communicator (LRWS) overall with High Pass
NZAPA English New Zealand Accredited Pathway Assessment Level 2 (with no skill lower than Level 1)

TOEFL iBT Total minimum score of 90, with at least 19 in reading, writing, and listening. Please note UC only accepts TOEFL iBT scores from a single test date, not MyBest scores.
CCEL EAP 2 Minimum of B+ grade.
CAE/CPE Minimum overall score of 176, with at least 169 in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Pearson Test of English (Academic) PTE with overall score of 58 and no PTE communicative skills score below 50.
NZCEL Academic Endorsement - Level 5.
FluentIQ Overall mark of 8/10 with nothing less than a 7 being scored in a single category.
LanguageCert C1 Expert IESOL (LRSW) with HIGH PASS.
NZAPA English New Zealand Accredited Pathway Assessment Level 3 (with no skill lower than level 2).
