UC Legend - Cal Wilson
Cal Wilson is well known to all New Zealanders as a writer, TV and radio presenter, and as a stand-up comedian.
Cal Wilson’s career in comedy began as co-founder of the Court Jesters improv group in 1990. She began working full-time as a stand-up comedian in the late 1990s and has since won prestigious awards from Metro Magazine and at the Melbourne, Edinburgh and Montreal Comedy Festivals.
TV viewers will recognise her from Spicks and Specks, Good News Week, Thank God You’re Here and 7 Days. She is also a celebrated radio host, having worked primarily with Nova FM in Melbourne and has appeared on the BBC’s televised QI series with Stephen Fry and Alan Davies.
