From Draught Horse to Euclid: Some Wild Rides Around New Zealand
This book by Ronald E Growcott, and co-authored by John Clark, contains stories of a kiwi pioneer who has lived through times of world depression, world wars, poverty and prosperity, travel, and retirement. During his lengthy career he has driven the most diverse vehicles that one is likely to encounter, from a team of draught horses to 30 ton earth movers; from taxis to a double decker bus, and even a hearse! He has been a government chauffeur, a contractor, petrol station installer, highland dancer, harrier amongst others. At 92, he is an inspiration to us all.
