Description A practical hands-on workshop that will explore how to make a LEARN course attractive and easy to use for students. Following good visual design principles will help to ensure student time is spent on learning, rather than looking for things or being distracted by visual clutter. We will look at the importance of clear navigation, clear visual design, how to use text and images to make things easier to find, and ways to ensure the important information is not missed. You will need to bring your own device.
Intended Learning Outcomes

Participants will be able to:

  1. Identify good visual course design approaches
  2. Set up a LEARN course for easy navigation
  3. Use visual markers to assist with finding elements within a section
  4. Reduce visual clutter in a course in order to focus on the key elements
