Anatomist by training (te Whare Wānanga o Ōtākou|University of Otago) and now Academic Developer (te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha|University of Canterbury). Passionate about using strategies to excite and inspire students and teachers to create the best possible opportunities for student success. My research interests focus on health-related teaching, specifically in the fields of neuromuscular biology, reproductive biology and clinical anatomy; as well student experience and wellbeing - especially when dealing with complicated issues such as the use of human and animal tissues to teach in the biological sciences. I also have a keen interest in student experience in tertiary learning, particularly around online examinations and digital learning environments.
