Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust Scholarship


This scholarship supports academically able students at the Ara Institute of Canterbury, Lincoln University, or the University of Canterbury, whose financial or personal circumstances might have prevented them from considering entry to tertiary education in the absence of the scholarship.The scholarship was established in 2007 by the Rotary Club of Riccarton as the result of a significant grant to the Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust from a Riccarton resident and Rotarian, Mr Brian Moore.

The online application system will begin accepting applications approximately eight weeks before the advertised closing date.

Applicants must be citizens of New Zealand or holders of New Zealand residence class visas. They must have been studying at secondary level in New Zealand in the year of application (or, in the case of a gap year, in the year immediately prior). Applicants must have resided in the Canterbury region for at least the 12 months immediately preceding the closing date for applications (or, in the case of a gap year, for at least the 12 months immediately preceding the start of the gap year).
