Basic Dreamweaver training

Web Team provide basic Dreamweaver training to enable staff to update UC Intranet sites. The class covers basic web concepts and DW skills only, we do not offer advance Dreamweaver training.

To register your interest, make sure you have Dreamweaver installed and complete and submit our online Dreamweaver training request form.

Once we've set a date and time for the class, an outlook meeting request will be sent out to confirm your place on the course. The date to be set depending on numbers but is not offered in December and January.

Course Information System (CIS)

Web Team do not offer CIS training but staff can access self-directed training material and CIS resources on the Intranet. If you need access to edit CIS courses, please email websupport@canterbury.ac.nz, Web Team can only give you access to the courses that belong to your department. If you require access to courses that belong to another department, please contact IT Services or log a request in Assyst.

T4 Contributor and/or Moderator training

T4 training can be arranged through Web Team, to be trained as a T4 Contributor or a Moderator, staff must have sign off from the HOD or Manager, an email is usually suffice. Access to T4 will only be given to staff who have attended Contributor and/or Moderator training.

There are useful online resources available for Contributors, Moderators and Events Contributors in the UC Web Guide. The Guide covers written step by step instructions and quick videos that can be used as a reference or for practice. Feel free to browse through the sections to familiar yourself with T4 before or after training. The more you practice, the better you will get at using the system.

Events Contributor - online self training

There are no training provided to Events Contributors as it is all done online. Follow the step by step instructions on this Event Calendar Instructions page. The Events System is managed by UC Events Team, for any query on how to use it, please contact events@canterbury.ac.nz.

Events Contributors do not have to have approval from the HOD or department manager for access to be granted.
