Before you start: what you need to do and what the Web Team offers
Once your images are sized and in the graphics/slideshow folder of your site, the Web Team inserts code on your page to create the rotating slideshow. The coloured border is included in the code.
Images in a slideshow must
- conform to copyright law and you must have signed permission from any recognisable person
- have context to your website and page, the images should add value
- have images all the same size and orientation ie either all landscape or all portrait
You are responsible for
- meeting all copyright and legal obligations for the images in your slideshow
- supplying and preparing images (this includes sizing, optimising, naming files using the instruction in this section and putting the images in the correctly named folder in your site)
- future edits, additions or changes to the slideshow
What the Web Team does for you
- we insert the code to make the slideshow work, then we hand it over to you to maintain
- if your website's live files are on a department server we help set it up so the slideshow works
