Setting up (mapping) your site in Dreamweaver

Step 1. Access to your website files

To map to your website files you need access to your websites files. If you don't have access to your site (or you're unsure what this means) see get access to my site(s).

Step 2. Mapping Dreamweaver

Once you have site access Dreamweaver needs to be mapped to connect your computer (through Dreamweaver) to your website's files.

Step 3. Creating a desktop shortcut to your site files

You need a shortcut to your website files on your desktop. Use this to navigate to the appropriate folder in your website files to add new images or files people will download from your site. (You can then add an image to a page, or link to a document in Dreamweaver).
