Understanding messages when uploading files
Several common messages can appear when working in Dreamweaver. This Information will help you understand how to respond to them.
Dependent or non-dependent files

This message asks if you want to upload dependent files.
Generally click 'no' but if you do click 'yes' the time it takes to upload your file will be slightly longer. You won't cause any harm if you do click 'yes'.
What are dependent files?
These include banner images, other images, navigation etc.
Synchronization Information

This message asks if you want to overwrite changes to a file on the web-server (live).
Generally click 'yes'. As long as you are confident that the files you are 'putting' are the most current and correct.
Synchronization Information refers to 'details' that Dreamweaver stores on a particular file.
Dreamweaver compares users, or different versions of dreamweaver (ie if someone has CS3 and another person in the office has CS5) and if someone else has up-loaded the same file, it may display this message.
