The role of Strategic Planning

The role of Strategic Planning is to coordinate key aspects of the University’s strategic planning and reporting processes by:

  • Ensuring that the University’s Profile and Investment Plan are produced in a timely and effective manner
  • Monitoring the strategic alignment of a range of University plans
  • Overseeing and facilitating the drafting, review and revision of key University plans
  • Ensuring that quarterly Statement of Service Performance reporting (including the Annual Report) is done in a timely and effective manner
  • Providing quality strategic advice to senior managers to guide decision-making and ensure that University income from funding, fees and other sources is fully optimised
  • Mapping and improving business processes relating to strategic planning and reporting
