UC Host

Activity

UC Hosts support a number of different events throughout the year. These events involve community and corporate engagement and recruitment. UC Hosts will support setting up event venues, greeting and assisting guests, giving campus tours and food services.

Hours involved in the activity

Up to 2 modules of 12 hours each.

Every 12 hours of participation in an activity is equal to one intersection point (12 hours = 1 intersection point).
For this activity you can claim a maximum of 2 learning and development outcomes.

  • C1 - Communication - UC Hosts will learn through their work skills and experience how to adapt to different events and settings.
  • C8 - Teamwork - UC Hosts can work as part of a bigger team to get results, using knowledge and skills relevant to the workplace.
  • D1 - Communication - UC Hosts will be able to communicate with a range of people of all nationalities and backgrounds.
  • D7 - Self-management - UC Hosts learn to be positive in their behaviour, assisting people where required such as international students and parents to engage them with UC and New Zealand communities.
