Activity

Career Activator modules and activities develop students’ career management competencies, and increase employability. The programme offers a variety of activities including seminars, modules, and one-on-one appointments to suit individual needs and learning styles. We also encourage participants to seek work experience.

Hours involved in the activity

Up to 2 modules of 12 hours each.

Every 12 hours of participation in an activity is equal to one intersection point (12 hours = 1 intersection point).
For this activity you can claim a maximum of 2 learning and development outcomes.

  • B1 - Communication - Participants develop effective written and verbal communication skills that meet recognised workplace standards and needs.
  • B2 - Initiative and Enterprise - Participants reflect on the needs of future employers and workplaces, and focus on developing sought-after skills.

  • C5 - Planning and organising - Participants plan, prioritise and organise programme activities, and identify and use resources that will help them achieve their career goals.  
  • C6 - Problem solving - Participants identify obstacles to employment, apply that knowledge to resolve issues, and reflect on the success of their problem solving strategies.
  • C7 - Self-management - Participants identify and apply effective self-management to successfully complete this Programme and their academic course load.
  • C8 - Teamwork - Participants reflect on their own role in the team, their working style, contribution, and preferred team settings.
  • C9 - Technology - Participants use of a range of technologies during the Career Development Programme. 
  • D1 - Communication - Participants learn and develop appropriate and effective communication strategies for connecting with the international workplace.
  • D4 - Learning - Participants learn about international work opportunities, the relevant skills and competencies for these, and the importance of cultural intelligence.
