Research interests include groundwater, solid waste management and decision analysis.
Current activities include:
1. Disaster waste management: systems analysis of planning and response strategies.
2. Estimating costs of solid waste management in developing countries: development of cost estimation tools suited to developing countries.
3. Smart water markets: collaborative research with Dept. of Management on smart markets for groundwater involving on-line auctions.
4. Earthquakes and sewerage systems:  development of tools to assist in recovery of sewerage systems.
