Project Abstract
This programme examines the intersection of governance, organisational culture, ethics, and procurement in the context of engineering projects. The current project involves creating a conceptual model of how these affect each other. Other future streams of work are validation of the model; empirical survey of engineering industries; comparison of practices across different nations. The work has potential benefits for the many engineering firms who run projects internationally. We have opportunity for interested Industry involvement, and encourage enquiries to the Principal Researcher. We are also looking for motivated post-graduate students to do research in this area. The projects are suitable for part-time study while employed in-industry, though own funding is essential as there are currently no research scholarships for this work.
