A rapidly developing field, Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour and its biological and mental processes, supplemented by investigations of animal behaviour. Psychologists systematically test ideas and beliefs against phenomena that are measurable and observable.
We offer a wide range of courses and research opportunities. Clinical educators, administrative staff and technicians support both teaching and research and we have a lively research community of both staff and postgraduate students. Our research gets international and national attention, makes a real difference to peoples’ lives, and attracts substantial research grants.
Our undergraduates can study Sciences or Arts. Many also go on to postgraduate study.
Our postgraduate programmes and qualifications develop high-level professional and research skills.
