Helen Macmillan Brown Bursaries
Description
The Helen Macmillan Brown Bursaries were established in 1920 by Emeritus Professor John Macmillan Brown, in memory of his wife, the late Helen Macmillan Brown, nee Connon, formerly Lady Principal of the Girls' High School, the first woman who graduated from this University.
There are at least three bursaries, at least one must be offered to a woman.
Eligibility
Every candidate for a bursary shall, at the examination immediately preceding election, have achieved a university entrance qualification.
Every bursar shall reside, throughout the tenure of the award, at University Hall administered by the University, and shall pursue a course of study approved by the Academic Board.
