Go Canterbury Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the University of Canterbury and Campus Living Villages NZ to support students from Auckland and Wellington in their first year of study at the University of Canterbury.
The scholarship provides the following:
a. Assistance with fees for fully catered accommodation at Campus Living Villages NZ's University Hall, to a value of $5,000, and priority consideration for a place at University Hall.
b. Opportunities to attend, at no cost, educational outdoor recreational field trips in the Canterbury region.
c. Opportunities to attend, at no cost, a New Zealand Red Cross first aid course and a range of workshops and seminars for personal, career, and professional development.
d. Opportunities to experience and contribute to the Christchurch rebuild, and to engage with the Christchurch community and project leaders, either through membership of the Student Volunteer Army or through enrolment, at no cost, in selected University courses related to community engagement.
At least 150 scholarships are available annually.
APPLYING FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP
The online application system will begin accepting applications eight weeks before the closing date.
Applicants must be Year 13 students who, in the year of application (or in the previous year if they are on a gap year), are either attending an Auckland or Wellington school or living in the Auckland or Wellington region.
