UC Mathematics and Statistics High Achievers Awards

Description

These scholarships were established by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics to recognise and support high-achieving students entering their first year of a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree programme and majoring in Mathematics or Statistics.

Eligibility

Applicants must be intending to enrol full-time in a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree programme, and must declare their intention to major in Mathematics (and to enrol in MATH 103) or to major in Statistics (and to enrol in STAT 101). Applicants who gain direct entry into Year 2 of the degree are also eligible. The awards are open to applicants who have completed or are completing a university entrance qualification and have attended secondary school in New Zealand in the year of application (or, in the case of a gap year, in the year immediately prior). International students who meet these requirements are eligible to apply. One scholarship will be reserved for a sufficiently well-performed Maori or Pasifika student.
