Korea Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship

Description

The Korea Foundation (KF) offers KF Postgraduate Studies Fellowship and KF Postdoctoral Fellowship for research students and scholars in Australia and New Zealand. This scholarship and fellowship is provided by the KF and is administered by the Korean Studies Association of Australasia (KSAA).

The Postdoctoral Fellowship Program provides promising and highly qualified recent Ph.D. recipients with the opportunity to conduct research at leading universities in the field of Korean studies so that they can further develop their scholarships as well as have their dissertations published as manuscripts.

Field of Project/Study/Research
Humanities and social sciences including: anthropology, archaeology, art history, economics, geography, history, language and literature, linguistics, musicology, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, and sociology.

The outcome of the application will be announced in December 2011.

Eligibility

* Foreign scholars who have received their Ph.D. degrees in a subject related to Korea but do not currently hold regular faculty positions.
* Applicants must have received their Ph.D. degrees or received a confirmation of the completion of their PhD degrees, prior to the submission of application, but not more than five years earlier.
* Korean nationals are eligible to apply only if they have permanent residency status in another country.
