UC Undergraduate Entrance Scholarship

Description

This scholarship recognises and supports top-achieving students commencing an undergraduate degree programme at the University of Canterbury.

The regulations below are for the UC Undergraduate Entrance Scholarship for students beginning study at UC in 2019. A copy of the regulations that apply for the 2018 scholarships - for students who began at UC in 2018 - is here: 2018 UC Undergraduate Entrance Scholarship regulations .

You could also be eligible for one or more of UC's other undergraduate scholarships .

Eligibility

You do not need to apply for this scholarship: an approved Application to Enrol will be taken as the scholarship application.

The scholarship is awarded to students beginning their first year of an undergraduate degree programme at the University who:
a. have been awarded University Entrance, or the equivalent, through studying at secondary level either in New Zealand or overseas at Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu; and
b. have studied at secondary level either in New Zealand or overseas at Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu in the year of their Application to Enrol (or, in the case of a gap year, in the year immediately prior); and
c. have gained one of the academic qualifications listed in the regulations; and
d. have not been enrolled in a degree programme at another university after gaining University Entrance or equivalent
