Beca Engineering in Society Scholarships

Description

These scholarships were established by Beca to support undergraduate Engineering students in their Second and Third Professional Years who demonstrate the potential to become outstanding professional engineers.

The scholarships are awarded in three categories:

a. Second Professional Year Scholarship: For students who are enrolled in the Second Professional Year of a BE(Hons) degree programme at the University of Canterbury.
b. Third Professional Year Scholarship: For students who are enrolled in the Third Professional Year of a BE(Hons) degree programme at the University.
c. Phil Gillon Memorial Scholarship: For students who are enrolled in the Third Professional Year of a BE(Hons) degree programme at the University.

APPLYING FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP
The online application system requires you to have a myUC account; you must register with myUC prior to applying online for a scholarship.

The online application system will begin accepting applications eight weeks before the closing date.

Regulations

Eligibility

Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree programme at the University. Applicants for the Second Professional Year Scholarship must be enrolled in the Second Professional Year, and applicants for the Third Professional Year or Phil Gillon Memorial Scholarships must be enrolled in the Third Professional Year. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or holders of New Zealand residence class visas.
