UC's field stations are well placed for research and teaching in the South Island's diverse and dynamic environment. Our undergraduates and postgraduates benefit from these resources and the learning and research opportunities they provide.
The West Coast is a geological wonderland, and UC's facility in Westport is well placed to explore both rock forms and unique ecology.
The Cass Basin forms part of an intermontane river basin in the central South Island and provides a very wide range of environments for research and teaching.
