Upon receiving any application
for a higher doctorate which meets the qualifying criteria, the
Dean of Postgraduate Research shall request the Dean of the relevant
Faculty to appoint an ad hoc committee of not fewer than three persons.
The committee shall report to the Dean of Postgraduate Research
whether the work submitted is prima facie worthy of examination for
the degree and, if it is, recommend the names of suitable
examiners.

If the examiners recommend the
award of the degree, the degree shall not be conferred until two
copies of the complete submission are deposited in the University
Library.
