Prerna Singh

I did bachelors in Electronics and Communication and Masters in Signal Processing. Currently, I’m in the second year of my PhD in the department of Computer Science and Software Engineering working with the Computer Graphics and Image Processing Group. I have also worked as a: Research Assistant at Tampere University of Technology in Finland; lecturer at Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research, India;  and Research Assistant in Efficient India Pvt. Ltd, India. I have more than Seven International research publications.

My research interests are primarily in the areas of medical image analysis, image modeling, enhancement and image segmentation. However, I am also interested in steganography, wavelets, image recognition, image compression, digital filter designing and Image & signal processing.

I enjoy outdoor activities such as brisk walking, cycling and playing basketball. I also love writing & reading in my spare time and am interested in learning piano.

The areas in which I can assist research students are: referencing (including Endnote and APA style); software packages (e.g. Word for large documents, MS Office, Matlab); academic writing support (e.g. structuring proposals, literature reviews, reports, how to handle long documents); literature search support (e.g. database use); mentoring support; and research design and analysis.
