Proponents of nanotechnology have claimed that it will do everything from solving the world’s energy needs, to curing cancer, to eliminating poverty. But such views of new technologies are Utopian, and it has also been argued that nanotechnology might cause significant health, environment and social issues. Already there are many hundreds of products on the market containing various types of nanotechnology, including commonly available sunscreens and cosmetics, so:

Events

We have developed a series of nanotechnology related events in Christchurch that will allow you to draw your own conclusions. The events that were disrupted by the September earthquake have now been rescheduled to the week starting on 14 February 2011.
