Learning Technologies Support Unit
A new Learning Technologies Support Unit, consolidating the Audio Visual Service, Video Conferencing Team and Video Production Unit has been established within the Digital Media Group.

This will not affect the provision of frontline AV support for academic staff within lecture spaces, who should continue to follow their existing AV support request process. As Learning Resources begins to roll out its new Service Management Tool, the Learning Technologies Support Unit will make use of the tool to help manage its support requests. Staff will be advised when this occurs, and any changes to the AV support request process.

The new unit will be seeking to work closer with Electronic Learning Media within the Digital Media Group team to create a more holistic learning experience; increasingly deploying emerging digital technologies which will enable learning in physical spaces to be better connected with e-learning spaces (e.g. Learn). The Learning Technologies Support Unit will also be working closely with the University’s Timetable Unit to ensure campus’ most-utilised rooms feature the most appropriate technology.
