Clamping fee change

During term one, staff and students whose vehicles had been clamped for not displaying a current valid parking permit were given the opportunity of purchasing an annual permit or paying a $50 fine. If a permit was purchased, the fine was rescinded. This was done to ensure everyone had sufficient time to purchase a permit and to allow people time to understand that normal University parking regulations still applied on campus.

From the commencement of term two this option will no longer be available as sufficient time has passed for everyone parking on campus to have purchased a permit. Staff and students are reminded that you are required to display a valid annual or semester permit prominently in the front window of your vehicle when you are parked on campus. Please take note that vehicles found which do not have a valid 2012 permit displayed will be clamped and payment of the clamping fee will be required before the vehicle is released. If you wish to continue parking on campus, a valid permit must be purchased.

For more information on parking on campus, please review the University’s parking regulations.
