About Us
The International Office is responsible for providing the information international students and their parents, sponsors and other partners require in order to apply for and gain entry to the University.
The Office also manages the University's Student Exchange and Study Abroad programmes, and provides information and advice about international matters to Colleges, departments and individuals across the campus.

International Marketing
Our Marketing team is responsible for promoting the University overseas and recruiting international students by:
- working with sponsoring agencies and companies to place scholarship students in suitable degree programmes;
- developing and maintaining business and service relationships with recruiting agencies overseas;
- production and distribution of publications and maintenance of web resources specially designed for international students;
- building and maintaining relationships with pathway providers both internationally and within New Zealand;
- attending education exhibitions and seminars;
- coordinating programmes to the University's campus for international visitors.
Admissions with International qualifications
International Admissions staff are the link between prospective students and academic departments for all application matters. Their main task is to process admission applications from both international and New Zealand students who wish to gain entry to the University with an international qualification. They also work closely with recruiting agency partners in providing both feedback on particular applications and information about alternative programmes. Other tasks include:
- providing accurate advice on entry requirements, application process and transferring credits;
- managing and coordinating the Exchange Students and Study Abroad programme;
- providing pre-departure advice to international students regarding visas, insurance, accommodation options, etc.
