Shane has always wanted to travel and see the world outside the US.
“I chose New Zealand because everything I had seen and heard showed that it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth and I also wanted to go to an Englishspeaking country.”
Shane is from Tucson in Arizona, USA. He is studying Business at the Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. He found UC’s Māori and International Marketing classes very interesting.
“I am able to see a different perspective on how the rest of the world views things. It’s especially interesting in my International Marketing class trying to think like a Kiwi businessman and to take my business or product abroad to the rest of the world.”
He says the people in Christchurch are hospitable and friendly. “Most of all I love getting out into the countryside and seeing all of the beautiful sights that New Zealand has to offer. This country is very hiker and
camper friendly.”
“I’m already planning to return to New Zealand so that I can bring my friends and family with me to experience all that this amazing country has to offer.”
