The prospect of studying in a country that offers internationally recognised
qualifications and has spectacular scenery made Laura's choice to come to New
Zealand an easy one.
She says, "I always wanted to combine my study with travel. I chose UC because you're only 45 minutes away from the mountains in one direction and 10 minutes away from the beach in the other".
Having just finished her training and now working as a teacher in Christchurch, Laura believes the College of Education has prepared her well for her career.
"I really enjoy the fact that what I was taught is actually applicable to the classroom. I would recommend studying here because the combination of theory and practical experience with children of different ages really makes you attractive to potential employers".
