Joseph Chapman made his decision to study forestry at Canterbury after hearing of the university's excellent academic reputation. Joseph has found Canterbury's reputation to be well founded. “My lecturers are great,” he says,” and I have really enjoyed the opportunity to be involved in small group work during my studies.”
Joseph has made many friends through his classes and also in the pursuit of his passion for playing soccer, joining in summer social games in Christchurch's Hagley Park next to the city centre. Joseph enjoys the great outdoors and has appreciated the easy access Canterbury 's location provides to some spectacular New Zealand scenery. “I would definitely recommend the University of Canterbury as a study destination,” he says.
