Request Transcript online
Please note: If you are not paying via credit card you must print out the Transcript Request (as above), arrange payment and post it to the Transcript Office.
Cost (as of 1 January 2012)
Transcript: $35
Letter Only: $35
NZ, Australia and worldwide courier charges, if required, are additional based on actual expenditure
- Additional copies within the same order are NZ $15.00
- Transcripts are posted in an A4 size envelope
- Tell us if transcripts are for US or Canadian universities, or for Korea
How to Order
- Online Transcript Request - Preferred method of application
- Email the completed Request Form to transcript@canterbury.ac.nz
- Fax the completed Request Form to +64 3 364 2736
- Phone +64 3 364 2987 Ext 8804. Make sure you have your student ID (if available) and method of payment
- Visiting the Cashier's office, Level 1, Student Services Centre with your completed Request Form and Payment
Payment Options
The fee may be paid by:- Cheque/draft in NZ dollars
- Cheque from an overseas bank in overseas currency
- Visa/Mastercard
- Bank transfer
Cheques should be made out to the University of Canterbury and sent to:

Conditions
Official transcripts can not be released until payment is confirmed.
An official record or official letter can not be issued if a student has outstanding fees or charges, such as:- library fines
- tuition fees
- accommodation fees.
Your request won't be processed until the account is cleared with Financial Services.

Once any outstanding fees or charges are paid, please email Student Records to let them know transcript@canterbury.ac.nz. Include your full name.
Process
Time to Process 3 - 4 days (approx)
Collect from the Help Desk, level 1, Student Services Centre or posted to an address provided. ID is required to be shown when collecting a transcript from the Information Centre, or
Mail - they will be posted to you
Getting someone else to order/collect it for you
If someone else is collecting your letter/transcripts, or they will be posted to someone else on your behalf, then you must provide a letter which:
- Is signed by you
- States your name
- States the name of the person acting on your behalf
- or, email transcript@canterbury.ac.nz and give authorisation stating the name of the person who is collecting the letter/transcript on your behalf
