The role of the AVC Māori is to assist the University in creating a learning environment which recognises and promotes New Zealand’s unique bicultural society.

Our aim is to be a leader in tribal economies and development to provide a centre for the intellectual capital and development of Ngāi Tahu, the principal iwi of Te Wai Pounamu.
