Deciding where to live in your first year is just as important as figuring out what to study. UC is here to help you find a hall, flat or homestay.
Private rental, or flatting is popular with students, particular those in their second year and above or postgraduate students. It offers an independent lifestyle and can be a great way to meet new people.
Halls and villages combine both convenience and a social experience that you won’t find anywhere else. You will also be academically supported with all halls offering tutorials in common UC subjects.
Homestay accommodation is when a student lives with a local family in the family’s home. All homestay families are carefully selected for their friendly, helpful attitudes and comfortable homes.
Temporary accommodation may be suitable if you and your family are visiting UC or while searching for permanent accommodation.
Organising accommodation is one of the most important things to do before arriving in New Zealand.
