Jointly hosted by the Russian Programme of the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at the University of Canterbury and the Russian Studies Research Cluster at the University of Otago, the 2011 Australia and New Zealand Slavists' Association Conference is entitled "Translations/Transitions".

The conference will feature a range of papers from scholars in the Slavic field from New Zealand, Australia, the United States, Singapore and Russia. The keynote speaker is Professor Gerald Janecek from the University of Kentucky.
