Global Experience Fund
The International Relationships Office has created the Global Experience Fund to support UC students to undertake global experiences that complement their studies. If you have found a short course or other global experience that you feel would benefit your studies at UC and your future career plans, we encourage you to apply.
Funding of up to $1,000 per student is available, with the exact amount awarded dependent on the quantity and quality of applications received.
This funding only applies to undergraduate or coursework postgraduate students. The funding does not apply to students going abroad through the UC student exchange programme or on group programmes organised by UC such as ECON228, MGMT228, Peking University Sumer Programme and Thailand PACE 295 Programme.
To be eligible for this funding you should meet the following criteria. All applications will be considered on a case by case basis.
- GPA/Transcript – It is recommended that you have a GPA of 5.0 (B average) or above, although students with a GPA below this will still be considered based on the other criteria.
- Reasons for wanting to participate and potential to benefit from the programme.
- Demonstrates attributes that mean you will represent UC and New Zealand positively.
- If you funding application is accepted you will be required to attend an interview.
