The Marketing team provides account management expertise to assist in the delivery of a consistent and powerful UC brand experience.

The team provides strategic and technical support to achieve successful marketing outcomes for our internal and external clients. Team functions include:

  • Communication planning and strategy
  • Evaluation and monitoring of current and proposed marketing
  • Facilitation of marketing campaigns and collateral
  • Branding guidelines
  • Online marketing consultation and information
  • Media strategy and placement
  • General marketing advice and assistance

Media placement and advertising

The University of Canterbury Marketing team provides a leadership role and manages all media placements in partnership with our current media agency and in consideration of:

  • UC marketing strategy, mission and vision documents
  • Product knowledge
  • Customers and target markets
  • Previous marketing experience
  • Evidence-based information on all media channels

Sponsorship

The Marketing Team is the first point of contact for sponsorship enquiries, proposals and requests. In some instances, we will refer you to the appropriate academic college, school or department.
