nature calls

today God paints

daps of cloud over Paekakariki

sprinkles light misty rain

over Kapiti

a warm sun

te ata kura the red-tipped dawn

sinks beneath the horizon

nature calls me to worship

in her temple

where I can feel the mauri

and breathe
