An emergency event affecting the University could result from the following causes:
- Aggression (Physical/Verbal)
- Trapped in Elevator
- Fire and Evacuation Procedures
- Armed Hold-Up/Robbery
- Medical Emergency
- Suspect Parcel
- Suspicious Activity/Unauthorised Visitor or Media
- Flooding/Storm/Gale Force Wind
- Earthquake
- Hostages
- Sexual Assault
- Gas Leak
- Power Outage
- Bomb Threat
- Hazardous Materials Alert

If an emergency event impacts on the University and internet access is still possible, the home page of this website (UC Emergency Management) is the main source of information.
If internet access is disrupted, information will be conveyed to staff and students via other sources, including notice boards, security staff and runners.
