How to read a course occurrence code
Course occurrence code
The course occurrence code is made up of a course code (eg, LAWS 102), the year offered (eg, 10), semester indicator (eg, S1) and site code (eg, C).
One course can have multiple occurrences.
See below for further explanation of these components.

The course code consists of a four-letter subject code (eg, PHYS for Physics) and a three digit number, the first number of which indicates the level of the course.
For a list of codes see Course code finder.
Year offered
The year a course is being offered in (eg, 10 = 2010). Note that dates are subject to change.

The semester a course is being offered in (eg, S1 = Semester 1, SU2 = Summer (November start)). See the table below for a list of semesters. For the official course start and finish dates for each semester see the Enrol at UC website or the Enrolment Handbook.
