Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering PGCertEng
The PGCertEng caters for professional engineers seeking advanced technical training or candidates who do not wish to commit to a master’s programme.
Endorsements are offered in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Transportation Engineering. An unendorsed certificate is also available in a broad range of engineering subjects.
Candidates must normally have a BE(Hons), BE or BSc(Hons) degree in relevant subjects, or in exceptional cases have qualified for the award of another appropriate degree/qualification.
The PGCertEng comprises a combination of 600 and 400-level courses, with specific combinations to meet the requirements of the endorsements.
Candidates can complete this certificate in one semester full-time or four years part-time. Block courses are offered in Fire Engineering and Transportation Engineering enabling part-time candidates to complete a certificate with these endorsements while working full-time.
