Master of Engineering in Management MEM
The Master of Engineering in Management gives graduates with Engineering degrees an insight into the business world, allowing them to use their technical skills in real-life situations.
As part of the course, students complete a six-month industry-based project. The MEM is endorsed by the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) as a quality professional development course.
A PhD in Engineering Management is also available.
Entry requirements
Candidates must have completed the equivalent of a BE(Hons) or another degree with good grades in relevant subjects. The standard and relevance of previous studies are the main criteria for selection.
Students wishing to enrol in postgraduate study must have completed both the academic and non-academic requirements of the prerequisite degree. This includes practical work days, work reports, a workshop training course and a first aid certificate.

The degree consists of six courses (ENMG 601–609 below), and ENMG 680 a project report.

Note: Not all courses will be offered in a single year. Intending students must consult the Director of the Master of Engineering in Management Programme to determine which courses from ENMG 601–609 will be offered in any one year and their subject matter.
Duration
The master’s must be completed within one year. Studies commence at the beginning of Semester 1 (usually February) each year).
