Master of Business Administration MBA
The University of Canterbury’s MBA programme is oriented towards general management. It aims to facilitate the transition from a technical or professional background to general manager by developing participants’ leadership and management skills.
Entry requirements
Candidates must be approved by the Dean of Commerce who will take account of the relevance and standard of previous studies and experience. They must have completed a degree, or the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, with good grades, and at least five years managerial work experience is required.

Details of entry requirements and application forms may be obtained from the Programme Director. Applications close on 25 November for both domestic and international students.
Courses
The structure of the MBA programme is closely prescribed, and consists of 12 compulsory courses (Group A), six courses (or the equivalent) from a specified list of options (Group B), and a project worth six courses (MBAD 680).

Duration
The degree may be completed in a minimum of 15 months full-time study or part-time in up to five years.
