Postgraduate Diploma in Māori and Indigenous Studies PGDipMaor
This diploma provides a thorough grounding in critical theory and research-based understanding of the subject. It consists of four Māori and Indigenous Studies courses. Students who complete the diploma with Merit or Distinction may transfer to the Master of Māori and Indigenous Studies.
Entry requirements
Candidate wishing to enrol in the Postgraduate Diploma in Māori and Indigenous Studies must have either:
- qualified for a bachelor’s degree with a major in Te Reo Māori or Māori and Indigenous Studies or a related subject; or
- qualified for a bachelor’s degree and have completed a Graduate Diploma in Arts in either Māori and Indigenous Studies or Te Reo Māori; or
- qualified for a bachelor’s degree and have relevant professional experience.
Courses
The course of study for the Postgraduate Diploma in Māori and Indigenous Studies shall comprise courses equivalent to 120 points chosen from MAOR 401–440, including at least one of MAOR 401, MAOR 402, or MAOR 403.
Duration
One year full-time or up to four years part-time.
