A study of Russian language at the intermediate level, with the special emphasis on grammar, conversational and writing skills.
This course aims to advance students’ language skills; its focus is on contemporary colloquial Russian. It enhances students’ abilities to converse and write in Russian, improving their skills in translating and comprehension.
As a student in this course you will acquire skills in all four areas of the language (reading, writing, speaking and listening). By the end of the course you should be able to read, write and translate adopted texts. Students will practice writing intensively and should be able to compose short essays. The average student will be able to speak fluent Russian. Students’ listening comprehension should reach a level where you will understand slow speech of a native speaker.
